Because each puppy’s future is very important to us, we rely on your answers to help us determine whether one of our puppies would be the right fit for your family. The more you share with us, the better we can get to know you and understand the home you would provide.

Please answer honestly, We are completely comfortable with your new puppy sleeping in the bed with you, and we believe it can help with bonding and the transition into their new home.

Do you understand that purchasing a puppy is a lifetime commitment, and that if anytime you are unable or chose not to keep the puppy, you must contact the breeder first?*

Do you understand that potty training takes time? Just like with children it takes patience and understanding. Puppies learn by positive praise not negative reinforcement, you wouldn't expect a child to be fully potty trained at 3-6 months, so please don't expect it from your new family member. Accidents will happen.*

Do you understand and agree that Dachshunds are a domesticated indoor breed and should not be left outdoors for extended periods? Any puppy purchased from Kimbre’s Dream Cream Doxies must be kept primarily indoors and may never be left outdoors overnight or for extended periods without direct supervision.*

Dachshunds are companion dogs and thrive as part of the family, they don't do well in the heat or the cold. This question is intended to ensure your puppy will live indoors as a loved family member and will not be left outside unattended or overnight.

Have you educated yourself about IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) in Dachshunds? What precautions do you plan to take to help protect your puppy’s back and reduce their risk of injury?*

Please answer in your own words. We want to understand your knowledge of IVDD and the precautions you personally plan to take.f you are not familiar with IVDD, please take time to research it before completing this application. Understanding IVDD and the precautions associated with it is an important part of responsible Dachshund ownership.

Even with proper precautions, IVDD can occur in any Dachshund, regardless of health testing or lineage. If your Dachshund developed IVDD, how would you handle their care? If surgery were recommended, would it be an option for you?

This is not meant to scare you. We simply want our families to understand the potential for IVDD and to have a plan for unexpected veterinary care.

Do you understand that deposits are NOT refundable? Please make sure you are 100% sure in your decision to add a new furry family member to your family!*

When we hold a puppy for you, that puppy is no longer available to other families - it has been taken off the market” “If we are unable to provide the puppy you selected or that you were hoping for were happy to move your deposit to a different or future litter that has availability, Please ask me any questions if your unclear on the deposit policy

Do you agree to feed a quality food throughout the pups lifetime?*

We would love pics of your home, yard etc. of where our baby will be living.

Photos are optional, However, our puppies safety and well being are our top priorities, if you'd like to share photos we welcome them!

Do you agree to avoid public spaces with dogs of unknown health status (pet stores, dog parks, public grounds) until the puppy is fully vaccinated?*

Young puppies are vulnerable to disease before vaccinations are complete, Please avoid those high risk areas until your vet says its safe.

Do you understand that each Kimbries Dream Cream Doxie is sold on a spay and neuter contract? Unless previously discussed.*

This policy protects the health of our dogs and ensures responsible placement.

Do you understand that although all of our breeding dogs are AKC registered, Pet puppies typically do include registration unless we are holding back from the litter. However, we are happy to send home copies of parents pedigrees upon request.*

Unless otherwise arranged, pet puppies go home on a spay/ neuter agreement and without registration unless we are holding back from the litter.
